Happy Friday Everyone!
I am so glad it is Friday…lol.
Yesterday I was scheduled to give an Art Talk at a Gallery that is currently showing my work.
I did not have much information to go on… as in…..how long should I talk for?… what should I talk about? (my art, yes, but in what manner?)…. how many people should I expect?

In the days leading up to the event, I was doing great at not stressing or over planning…… until bed time each night. Then my brain would seem to go into overload…ha ha.

I decided to not invite people I knew until that last minute, as I figured that seeing faces I knew might make me falter in my delivery. Plus, I decided to imagine as I did my ART TALK that I was at home in my studio just talking to my webcam…. a.k.a. a normal weekly event for me.

As it turns out, 2pm on a Thursday afternoon is a slow time for the gallery… lol. I ended up having the pleasure of speaking to about 10 ladies (& my wonderful husband, Marco, who filmed the event for me). It was so relaxed, that it was crazy. I had to fight myself from wanting to hand out supplies and begin teaching them some of my art techniques, like in one of my art classes. 😉
It was chill….. I could breath….. I enjoyed myself…. and now I look forward to doing it again… and again… and again! 🙂
Below is the video that we recorded. I hope you enjoy it. (FYI: The art is on display until October 31st at the Plaskett Gallery in New Westminster, BC, Canada).
